Lawrence Yunzhou Zhu

I am a CS PhD student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, advised by Sehoon Ha and Danfei Xu. My research focuses on leveraging egocentric human data for robot mobile manipulation. I also received my MS in Computer Science (thesis track) from Georgia Tech in 2026.

Before coming to Georgia Tech, I received a BSc in Computer Science with First-Class Honours from the University of Edinburgh. As an undergraduate researcher at MAPS Lab, supervised by Prof. Chris Lu, I built ThermoHands, the first multispectral, multiview benchmark for egocentric hand pose estimation, and developed a transformer-based hand pose estimator for egocentric thermal images.
